Caring, funny, smart, witty, considerate, humble, savage, forgiving, aggressive, down-to-earth, these are just some of the many sides of Steven Adams you will see in this video. And let me tell you, I had heard Steven Adams was a cool guy, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy making this project because he just has so much content that shows his different characteristics and every single video I watched, one thing remained the same. He is entertaining! I also see why so many of you (31% of 1,300 total votes at the time of this posting) voted to see a video on Steven Adams because the guy is a national treasure.

There are so many gems in this video… I had a little fun with the whole Backstreet Boys song which hopefully doesn’t weird any of you out. P.S. In the second part of Steven Adams signing please watch Andre Roberson LOL dude is acting like he is doing choreography for the music video…had me dying. I’m going to do something different and name my top 3 favorite moments below and see what you all think.

3. Steven Adams takes Chris Paul’s advice and adjusts his form to sink almost full court shot

2. Steven Adams brushes off drunken Sports reporter who won’t quit – So OKC Thunder fans might have to help give me the back story a little bit with this. I got the impression that the guy interviewing Adams is a local sports reporter and so is the seemingly drunk guy who eventually tells Steven that he’s a big fan of the Oakland Thunder lol but it seemed like this wasn’t planned out at all which is what made it really funny especially how the guy keeps coming back for more.

1. Steven Adams purposely misses free throw, catches his own rebound and then passes to Westbrook while in the air who sinks a deep 3- Um, yea. Level of difficulty, a hard 10. Doubt if he tried this 99 more times it would of worked out this way but wow was that impressive. If you notice before it happens, Adams actually walks down court to talk to Westbrook and plan out this scenario before walking back to the free throw line. So you can’t tell me that the other team (I think it was the Rockets) didn’t know it was coming. As a basketball coach, to have a player that has that kind of presence of mind on your team is priceless! And credit to Westbrook for being in the right place and sinking the shot.

Honestly, as a basketball player I still feel like Steven Adams is underrated. Maybe his game doesn’t translate as much to today’s version of the NBA with the smaller big men who can shoot deep range at a high percentage but let’s review some of the things he does that can be seen in this video that make him very valuable to the Thunder. First off, the guy wrecks players on screens which was huge for Westbrook when he played with the Thunder but still equally important for Chris Paul or anyone who brings the ball down. Off screens, Adams is very effective at the pick and roll, also extremely important to a Chris Paul led team. Adams is a veteran leader who communicates and encourages the young Thunder squad as you can see in the Mic’d up part of this video. Lastly, Steven Adams is just a tough guy (actually the toughest in the NBA according to General Managers as you can see in one of the clips that Steven apparently was not impressed with lol) who does the dirty work and seems to have a great presence of mind no matter the situation while on the court. I’d kill to have Steven Adams as a teammate or player on my team if I were a coach and just appreciate him as a hardcore fan of basketball the sport in general.
