This video explores the reign of William II who reigned from 1087-1100. He has often been overlooked which is understandable to his extent due to the fact he was the son of William The Conqueror, who was not only a king but a force of nature. And William's brother and successor (and murderer?) Henry I also proved to be one of the more capable rulers of the middle ages with his laws laying the groundwork for Magna Carta. So given William's reign is sandwiched between two of England's most powerful monarchs, is it really a surprise his reign has been overlooked? But does he deserve to have more attention from historians and what was his legacy?
