The 41’ (12.49 m) Hatteras convertible seen above was launched 63 years ago and was the first cruiser entirely built of fiberglass. All of the sleek, triple-deck luxury motoryachts on the water today can trace their build ancestry back to this boat. Built of fiberglass so thick (who knew how strong it was in the early days?) that she was a battle tank offshore and is still alive today.
