Caerphilly Town Centre has become the last town to benefit from free public access Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi in Caerphilly is part of a wider provision that has already been rolled out in Bargoed, Blackwood, Newbridge, Rhymney, Risca and Ystrad Mynach. The initiative aims to improve the experience for visitors of the high street by helping people to access online stores and to engage with local businesses online.

The expansion of the free public Wi-Fi position has already been a success in the six other town centres across the county borough with the provision contributing towards the Council’s ongoing support to regenerate our town centres.

The initiative forms a key part of the choose local campaign that aims to encourage residents to #ChooseLocal and explore each of our key town centres to fulfil visitors shopping and everyday needs. Residents can connect devices in a vast area in and around the town centre.

Canol Tref Caerffili yw'r dref olaf i fanteisio ar fynediad cyhoeddus at Wi-Fi am ddim. Mae Wi-Fi yng Nghaerffili yn rhan o ddarpariaeth ehangach sydd eisoes wedi’i chyflwyno ym Margod, Coed Duon, Trecelyn, Rhymni, Rhisga ac Ystrad Mynach. Nod y fenter yw gwella profiad ymwelwyr â’r stryd fawr drwy helpu pobl i gael mynediad at siopau ar-lein ac ymgysylltu â busnesau lleol ar-lein.

Mae mynediad cyhoeddus at Wi-Fi am ddim eisoes wedi bod yn llwyddiant yn y chwe chanol tref arall ledled y Fwrdeistref Sirol gyda’r ddarpariaeth yn cyfrannu at gymorth parhaus y Cyngor i adfywio canol ein trefi.

Mae'r fenter yn rhan allweddol o'r ymgyrch Dewis Lleol sy'n ceisio annog trigolion i #DewisLleol ac archwilio pob un o'n canol trefi allweddol i ddiwallu anghenion ymwelwyr o ran siopa ac anghenion bob dydd. Gall trigolion gysylltu dyfeisiau mewn ardal eang yng nghanol y dref ac o'i chwmpas.
