King Henry. In an era.of the NFL where the running back never receives a full workload and is replaced every couple years, Derrick Henry has just done the opposite. Year after year, he proves his critics wrong and so far he has more than exceeded expectations following his 2,000 yard season. After just 6 regular season games in 2021, Henry has carried the ball 162 times for 783 yards with 10 touchdowns and personally would be my vote for MVP thus far this NFL season, even though the award feels like it is given to quarterbacks about 99% of the time.

The Titans have had their ups and downs this season, nothing lower than losing to the Jets 2 weeks ago. But how did King Henry respond the following week in a prime time matchup against the Buffalo Bills who many considered a top team in the entire NFL? By putting the Titans on his back rushing for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns as his team defeated the Bills 34-31 on Monday Night Football. Making things more impressive, Henry hit a mind blowing 21.8 miles per hour (the fastest clocked speed this season) on a play he housed to the end zone featured in this video.

It is no wonder he is able to handle his incredible workload year after year after seeing some of his workouts. The guy always seems to be in the gym or challenging his body with some amazingly difficult looking exercise that you will see throughout this video to better understand what it takes to be as good as he is!

You know what is more impressive about Derrick Henry? How humble he stays. This guy has done it all but rather than get a big head, he is the first to credit his teammates, lineman, coaches and parents anytime he receives a new award, including the infamous NVP (Nickelodeon Award) which is also featured in this video. He has proved to be the exception during a time where players like Odell Beckham, Jalen Ramsey, LeVeon Bell have existed and are known for either their social media posts with celebrities, demanding to be paid more because they are the best in the business, or holding out despite being under contract. It wasn't easy to find Derrick Henry content because the guy definitely tries to keep a low profile through his career despite being one of the NFL's best players.
