This is probably the most spectacular freeride ski line in the Pyrenees: the Poubelles Couloir (the “garbage” couloir), on the north-east face of the Pic du Midi. Or more precisely, a variant further to the left of the face, the so-called "La Cuenta”, even steeper and exposed (5.1 - E3). It is a major line, a 1000 m couloir, suspended between sky and cliffs, rarely in good conditions (if the snow cover is not exceptional, you have to abseiling down a section).

Note that the term "freeride skiing" designates a line accessible directly via ski lifts, in this case the peak cable car which teleports you directly to 2877 m. For this ride, I was in very good company since my teammate is Paul-Henry de Le Rue, the famous snowboarder who won a medal at the Olympic Games (and so more...). In any case, I've been waiting to ride this line for years and I'm so happy to have been able to succeed, especially in such good snow conditions and in such good company!
Thank you Polo! And see you soon for the next one!...
