I find myself getting comfortable with the ability to multi-track and do single riffs in takes. It's not much practice for playing longer portions, but luckily I've been saving this cover for just that! This song was one of the reasons I decided to do a third year of weekly covers along with I think Ecruteck. It's so beautiful and powerful, and also I think you guys might enjoy a time signature out of 4/4 for once! I spent most of my Final Fantasy time on this game since it was the only one I owned as a teenager (had the others when I was a kid still with my PS1) so you could say it really left an impact on me.

Alas, I am once again unhappy with my tones. The issue with doing weekly vids along with full time school and everything on the side is that I don't get a lot of time to do what I call 'tone shoot-outs' where I just pick a bunch of tones and record over the same stuff and see which one I like best. This time I took the approach of only using one amp model for all the electric guitars. I think it worked in some ways but mostly didn't end up beneficial. I feel like it's so hard to get a lead tone that cuts without being too honky. One day, I'll have the perfect tone, one day. Just letting you all know who still despise my tones that I'm still working on it because I sure as hell aren't happy with them either.

All this twitch plays Pokémon has gotten me back into the Poké-guitar cover mood again! Time to pull out some of my old jazz tones next week!
