This last album in the original formula has more new wave influences weaving among the hard rock and metal influences. After this album, Albert Bouchard is fired, the rhythm section becomes a revolving door and BOC becomes commercially irrelevant.
Parts of this album were made to be used in the animated film Heavy Metal. The song that ended up in the movie is in fact Veteran of the Psychic Wars, which was not written for that purpose.
