You know I'm shy as ever and wouldn't have the face to say these words in front of your lovely eyes. I would melt just looking into those deep black eyes. You can't blame me, your eyes might be the darkest, but it brings light to my life. I'm writing to express my appreciation for you. God knows how I kneeled every night before him to thank that a blessing like you came to my life. Before you, my life was a mess, chaotic, empty, and toxic. It was unbearable, and there were times when I wanted to end everything. But in a blink of an eye, you changed everything: the hell became heaven, bruises became kisses, my frowns turned into smiles, my tears went dry, and even rainy days don't seem to be gloomy anymore.

Thank you. Thank you for staying beside me. Thank you for staying up all night with me when my anxiety wouldn't let me sleep. Thank you for cracking a corny joke to make me laugh when I'm down. Thank you for those little sticky notes you hide between the pages of my books to motivate me. Thank you for cooking those meals for me. You still need a little practice. Don't get me wrong. I still wouldn't trade your food for anything else. And, of course, thank you for loving me when I couldn't do it. You made me see my worth, how my life is as precious as everybody's. Because of you, I want to live now. Not survive, but live.
