老婆的話，讓他決定東漂。

►力蓮（Lillian）的爸爸是美國人，媽媽是坦尚尼亞人。
她的老公德建，比她大了20歲。

「fall in love，然後結婚，然後發現，哇！我們那麼不一樣。文化、年紀、Everything。」

力蓮和德建的三個孩子，十多歲的主恩、佳音和天心，都是在家自學。


► 2012年，一家人曾為了力蓮的心願，從台北東漂到台東，在都蘭、成功生活了九年多。
德建坦言，剛到台東的時候，有一種逃難的感覺。

「我來這邊真的是受不了，可是那真是我孩子的天堂！」
孩子們養寵物、找鄰居的動物玩，而哥哥主恩還學會開帆船。就像力蓮所希望的，她自己從小在東非與大自然為伍，當了媽媽，也希望孩子在這樣的環境快樂成長。


► 但生活並不容易，因為在台東賺錢機會不多，他們一直吃老本，1000萬的積蓄幾乎都快花光。最後，一家人在2021年決定回台北。他們舉家搬到林口，德建也重返老本行的房仲業工作。

他已經63歲，是多數同齡人退休的年紀。
但德建說，因為這三個孩子，自己沒有往後看的權利。

「那個沒有選擇的力道，會比勇敢的力道還大。」
「到這個年紀還有那麼多事做，我覺得很大的祝福。」
