Onyx the octopus has 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 arms - and those arms can do LOTS of things, like shake, run, straighten, bend, tug, and hug! Kids will love learning about octopuses as they move along with Onyx - and learn to count!

Says Laurie:
After years of requests from kids, I have finally written a song about an octopus! I have included movement, counting, octopus facts - and the word “cephalopod!” I hope the families who hear it fall in love with Onyx, just like I have.

Lyrics:
Onyx the octopus
Has 9 brains and 3 hearts
Onyx the Octopus
Has 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 arms
And those arms can SHAKE
They can shake
They can shake shake shake!

Onyx the octopus
Is really, super smart
Onyx the Octopus
Has 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 arms
And those arms can STRAIGHTEN and BEND
They can straighten and bend
They can straighten and bend

Onyx the octopus
Is a cephalopod
Onyx the Octopus
Has 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 arms
And those arms can RUN (doo doo doo doo doo doo doo)
They can run (doo doo doo doo doo doo doo)
They can run run run!

Onyx the octopus
Has many special parts
Onyx the Octopus
Can tug tug tug
Or shrug shrug shrug
But what I like best
Is a snuggly hug
From those
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 arms!
