BATTLE pits redhead against redhead in this sleek, dramatic dance film meets music video. Two dancers engage in a duel of escalating weaponry.

One is never quite sure where the moody psychological landscape meets reality, as strange spaces and lipstick gone awry give way to thumb wars, fencing matches, and an evolving relationship.

Battle was created as part of the SFDFF's 2017 Co-Laboratory, an experimental dance film laboratory that pairs choreographers with videographers, creating the opportunity for collaboration and the exploration of expressive possibilities outside the bounds of their respective fields.
