The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots, 25-20, to open the 2023 NFL season in Foxborough.

CB Darius Slay had the first Eagles touchdown of the season off a pick six from Patriots QB Mac Jones. QB Jalen Hurts and WR DeVonta Smith got the offense on the board next, but the game was a battle until the very end, coming down to the final plays.
