Ardh Satya 1983 is a crime drama film starring Om Puri, Smita Patil and Sadasiv Amrapukur in leading roles.

It is considered as one of the best cop films in Bollywood. It is aprallel film and won many national awards and filmfare awards.

The title is adapted from a poem written by Dilip Chitre which also find a place in the film. The poem has been explained here.
