Ramadhani Shafii Wanjenja is Founder and CEO of REA Innovation Tanzania, an African electronics startup focused on the design, development, and manufacture of renewable energy systems and portable backup generators. REA Innovation retails its products for less then USD 100 so they remain affordable for members of their community.

Like many electronics startups, REA is experiencing growing pains as it attempts to balance manufacturing capacity and demand. While they work on improving their products and manufacturing capabilities, they're also looking to open new revenue streams by serving as a value-added reseller/integrator of power electronics such as solar panels, inverters, power supplies, and batteries that it can quickly assemble into generators and sell into the local market. The only problem is sourcing those subsystems and components at a pricepoint that meets their business case.

On this Friday's Office Hours Meetup, Ramadhani will join us to share his story and explain some of the challenges they're facing. We can then respond as a community with tips, suggestions, and connections to help REA Innovations Tanzania overcome.
