2020 has required much of teachers and students alike, and I’ve discovered some unexpected benefits from teaching online. Having a few reliable tools makes the process go much more smoothly than anticipated, and I’m sharing a video snapshot of what that process has been for me.

Much of my teaching material comes from my practice method book, and from the collection of teaching posts I’ve produced over the years. I’m beginning to repost the collection - with new videos - under the banner of this new channel, Dharmajazz.

Dharmajazz is a collection of tips, tools, and resources I've gathered over the years for learning and teaching music, with an emphasis on piano improvisation. Dharmajazz is also the YouTube home of my practice and teaching resource book, The Road to Aqaba — Practice Strategies for the Jazz Pianist (available at Dharmajazz.com).
