Aaron Spears was part of the Drumeo family. When he filmed with us back in 2022, one of the songs he wanted to perform was "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters. He loved this song – particularly, Taylor Hawkins' power and energy throughout the track. Tragically, since the time of filming this video, we've lost both Aaron and Taylor.

As a tribute to both drummers, we wanted to release this performance for Taylor's birthday which would have been this weekend. After speaking with one of Aaron's closest friends, Kaz Rodriguez, we learned that Aaron also wanted this performance released publicly on the Drumeo channel as his personal tribute to Taylor.

Aaron and Taylor – we miss you both. We know your drumming and music will continue to inspire drummers around the world for years and years to come.
