HIYA! Thank you all so, so much for helping this channel reach 40 000 Subscribers!!! Here is the 40K special: A fan-made music video or PV for MALICE MIZER's amazing song "Shi no Butou" / "死の舞踏", originally released in 1996 on their "Voyage sans retour" album.

This fan-video exclusively contains footage from late 1995 until early 1997, all during that Voyage era. Each individual video has been carefully remastered to 4K 60FPS, before mixing them all together in this video.

The footage chosen is a mix of their Voyage live DVD, and a big amount of TV recordings from that time. As you might rightfully conclude, the TV recordings have not the same quality as the DVD footage.

And now that so much TV recordings have been remastered for this video, I'll upload some of them in their entirety in the future!

Even though this song released in 1996, it was already performed live in 1994, (maybe even '93, not sure!), so it has been ripening for a long time until this phenomenal studio recording!

So yes, this song actually dates back to the Tetsu era, before Gackt had joined the band. I think both sing it amazing in their own way. I wish we had a proper studio recording with Tetsu too! It would've definitely fit very well on "memoire" too.

This song is definitely one of my favourites of the entire Voyage album, and even one of my favourites of all of their songs! It gets so much right: Amazing composition, arrangement, production/mixing, vocals, and instrumental performances of all members. And the "twin guitars" of this song are some of the best of the entire discography!
