thinking about the people who aren’t here anymore, thinking about time and how fast it flies by, about life and learning to be in the moment.
i don’t remember a time my dad didn’t mention uncle nantha. he supported my music ever since I started out, and all of our passions and projects, he bought four cups of coffee at the cafe my brother worked at. he was friends with my dad since they were kids and they'd tell stories of the adventures they were up to in school.
it rained the entire day the day before recording this, and it was like the skies were grieving too. i got the news when madi diaz played her last song, ‘weird faith’ at her concert. i didn’t know uncle nantha too well, but i don’t remember a time my dad didn’t mentioned him. he supported my music, and all our passions, he bought four cups of coffee at the cafe my brother worked at. he was friends with my dad since they were kids.
rest in peace, uncle nantha

lyrics:
There’s a cloud hanging over my head
And I wish it would rain
So if they asked me why I’m so sad
I’ll have something to blame
Time is catching up
So run, run run
Time is catching up
So run, run run
Yesterday I was thinking of you
And now that thought is all I have
I’ll complain that life isn’t fair
And I know you’d say “Life is like that”
Time is catching up
So run, run run
Time is catching up
So run, run run
I hope the sun shining
Is you just smiling through the clouds
And if there comes some lightning
I’ll think of you laughing like a child
Time is catching up
So run, run run
Time is catching up
So run, run run
