David Parkes, Dean of Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, thinks knows that engineering does not stop in the lab or the classroom. He feels that engineering schools are engines of innovation and need to play a role in research translation, connecting innovations with society and engaging with venture capital. Harvard SEAS is embedded in a developing Enterprise Research Campus and in close proximity to many universities and Boston's booming tech and life sciences ecosystems.
