About this visit:
They arrived Duluth April 19, 2024 at 20:34 with a cargo of Processed Salt for the Hallett 8 (Envirotech h-8) dock. They arrived at the dock at 22:19 and began discharging this portion of salt. They finished discharging and departed the dock April 20 at 07:39, heading to the Compass Minerals dock to discharge the "unprocessed" salt. They arrived at the Compass dock at 09:09 with a lot of drama! They pulled in way too far south, that portion of the slip is not dredged very deep and they slid up on the sand causing the ship to stop, reverse, stop, etc. They did get it all figured out and docked, discharged the salt and depart compass at 18:14. I the crew member told me they expected it to be a 4 hour discharge, I laughed, it was an 11 hour dump! They departed Duluth at 18:41, heading to Thunder Bay Ontario light.
