Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announces a $6 billion military aid package for Ukraine, including more Patriot air defense missiles. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomes the Patriot missile to counter Russia's air bombardment of his country, but also asks for more Patriot systems.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, telling him China needs to reduce its support of Russia's defense industry or face consequences from the U.S. They also discussed Chinese policy on the economy and trade.

Secretary Blinken at a news conference is also asked about the pro-Palestinian protests at many universities and college in the United States. We will hear from two governors about campus protests in their states – Florida's Ron DeSantis (R) and California's Gavin Newsom (D).
