What if I told you many of the most famous creators of all time actually thought that creativity was overrated? That's what I learned from reading The Daily Rituals by Mason Currey. This book lays out the habits and routines of some of the most famous artists, writers, mathematicians, inventors, and philosophers of all time. And what I discovered was that almost none of them waited around for "creativity to strike". In this video, I'm going to share with you what they did instead.

We're going to examine the lives of Vincent Van Gogh, Ernest Hemingway, Carl Jung, and many more famous creators.

Then we're going to analyze the science of creativity. We're going to go deep into the scientific research on creative output to find out what makes people more creative and why. We're going to learn how to increase our creative output by studying Ultralearning by Scott Young and Peak by Anders Ericsson and Robert Pool. These books will give us a roadmap to understand the science behind "rapid skill acquisition" though the science of "deliberate practice".

Finally, we'll turn our findings into a science-backed routine that anyone can use to do great work, even if you feel like you're not creative. We'll explore the book Deep Work by Cal Newport to build habits into our daily lives to increase creative output. Then we'll take a look at 4 different models that famous creatives like Vincent Van Gogh, Carl Jung, Walter Isaacson, and Jerry Seinfeld used to implement deep work into their lives and increase their creative output.
