Hákarl is the Icelandic national dish, fermented shark that may trace its roots to the vikings. The shark is inedible prior to the fermenting, and some may say even more so after fermenting, but I intend to find out! Anthony Bourdain described it by saying "this is probably the single worst thing ive ever put in my mouth". I managed to choke it down once, and now I'm back to try Hákarl again, and I brought company! Can we do it? Probably not! #hakarl #Hákarl #fermentedfish #fermentedshark #rottenshark #foodadventures #foodreview #Icelandic #delicacy #fermentedfood #icelandicfood #sharkmeat #weirdfood #foodie
