presents episode 1837 | DR ERIC WESTMAN re: Eric Berg

People who have trouble digesting red meat have low
stomach acid [can happen as we age], so:
May want to add: betaine hydrochloride to meal
-3 to 5 tablets, for about a month…
-will increase acidity
-digest red meat better
-feel much better

May have more gas...GERD, indigestion, acid reflux:
all signs of low stomach acid
Some may have genetic condition: hard to get rid of iron
-if so, eat more poultry or eggs
[ALSO: GET BLOOD DRAWN MORE FREQUENTLY…
see: doctorstotrust.com
search on iron]
Beef good for losing blood
during menstrual cycle:
-has iron & B12

Dr Westman: most people with low stomach acid will
adjust to eating meat when they begin a keto diet…
Same with eggs: people who cannot tolerate eggs, find
that when low carb, they can tolerate them!
Study on refractory heart burn, it went away in 5 days

I think he is making reference to hemochromatosis…
[iron overload]--uncommon condition, where you would
not want a lot of red meat
I am not convinced that red meat is better than eggs
for healing...depends on how much you eat…
The main point was great:
red meat is Good for You
There is slight chance of
allergy to alpha-gal protein
in red meat
