It’s hard not to feel nostalgic when discussing Iron Man in relation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After all, Iron Man was the film that started it all fourteen years ago.

There is no guarantee that Katherine Langford's Morgan Stark will return to the MCU, but there is a very clear way for it to happen in Phase 6.

Marvel Studios is exploring the multiverse throughout Phases 4, 5, and 6, and this initiative will culminate with Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2026. Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but the multiverse story opens the door for Morgan Stark to come back. If Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man return does not happen in Avengers: Secret Wars, it could be fun for the movie to bring an alternate-universe version of his daughter into the fight against Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).

Technically, there are no official plans for Iron Man 4 but there are two MCU characters who could make it happen. While Don Cheadle has denied that War Machine will take Stark’s place as Iron Man, it is a possibility for Armor Wars. While Evans left the MCU and his character passed on, the mantle of Captain America was taken up by Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) sparking a fourth Captain America film – Captain America: New World Order. Hence, it wouldn’t be surprising if Armor Wars lays the foundation for Rhodey taking on the Iron Man mantle and sparking Iron Man 4.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever officially introduced Thorne’s Ironheart. The film saw the genius build her own Iron suit in a fashion that paralleled Stark’s story. Meanwhile, her story will be further developed in the Disney+ TV series, Ironheart.
