Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and other Florida officials are being sued over alleged voter intimidation and confusion regarding felons' voting rights.

The 74-page civil lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Miami, says the lack of a reliable database to determine voter eligibility for individuals with convictions is unconstitutional.

Desmond Meade, the head of the coalition behind the lawsuit, is seeking immediate action to ensure compliance with the law, including creating a reliable central database for individuals with criminal convictions to check their status and requesting the appointment of a monitor to oversee the state's adherence to state and federal laws governing voting.

Meade spoke to Roland Martin about the "complete mess" that is going on in Florida as it relates to felons' voting rights.
