This is the official lyric music video for “Sweet Sun,” a song from our debut album “Sadnecessary.” The video was created by Mateus dos Santos Machado aka DaVous, a musician, DJ, and audio visual artist from Brazil.

“Life is a work of art. Science is occupied with explanations. I like ordinary things that you find in the day to day routine. I film, listen to music and write music in the form of images. If someone is dancing, I need to register that. What do I do with all of these snippets of life? In the beginning, I had no idea...I let the images tell me. An image insinuates itself to me and seduces me. I should have a catalog of everything I've recorded, a bank of memories that I only can access during the creative process. How does this happen? Science is occupied with explanations.

The obvious is something difficult to see. Straightforward and simple, I like the sun a lot. The choice of song was given by the title, Sweet Sun. Did it choose me? The way Milky Chance softly blows or whispers out the words, his style of singing: it’s a little intoxicating, sinuous with yearning…movement is part of everything. Music pushes you. In fact, it beckons movement. It has a magnet that pulls. Again, it’s seductive. Like nature moving towards the sun (and the inglorious shadows of desire). Sweet, bitter, salty, crazy and hot like candle wax touching the skin. Necessary, like the sun upon your face.
The video: a city that runs, people in a rush, the dance. Everything orbits around the music. Everything is energy, including us too.
