Reneé Rapp - Tummy Hurts (Live) | DSCVR Artist Of The Year 2023

We’ve been Reneé fans ever since “Tattoos” knocked us out in the summer of ’22. Then her ‘Everything to Everyone’ EP confirmed all our hopes: she’s a real deal musician with a rambunctious spirit, and an impressive actor with non-stop charisma. She became a Vevo DSCVR artist back in April of this year, releasing terrific performances of “Too Well” and “Bruises.” Now, in the wake of their success and in honor of our annual Artist to Watch program’s tenth anniversary, we’ve named Reneé our first-ever DSCVR Artist of the Year. The singer was awarded the honor at the annual Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards in London on November 7. In celebration, we caught up with Reneé on the road, and clocked exclusive performances of “Snow Angel” and “Tummy Hurts,” both from her acclaimed ‘Snow Angel’ debut album. This venue holds special meaning: Rapp made her Broadway debut at the August Wilson Theater, and this return to her old stomping grounds made for an extra-meaningful session.
