Today we are at our final destination in Jordan! This is Wadi Rum! It is a wide sandy valley located in the south of Jordan and is also known as the "Moon in the Red Sea". This natural wonder includes tents, dunes, cliffs, caves, and ancient rock paintings inhabited by the local Bedouin people.

Wadi Rum also hosted the actions of T. E. Lawrence, the British officer and writer, better known as "Lawrence of Arabia", during the Arab Revolt of 1916-1918. Lawrence began working with Sharif Hussein, one of the Bedouin leaders, and later became known as the leader of the Arab Revolt. Wadi Rum was one of Lawrence's desert camps and is mentioned in his famous book "Seven Pillars of Wisdom".

During the Ottoman Empire, the Wadi Rum area was under the control of Sharif Hussein, the powerful local governor of the Ottoman Empire. However, with the onset of the Arab Revolt, the region turned into a battleground between the Ottoman Empire and Sherif Hussein. During this period, Lawrence participated in the Arab Revolt and took part in many conflicts in the region.

Today, Wadi Rum is a popular destination for tourists and is renowned for its natural beauty, historical significance, and adventure tourism opportunities. Bedouin people also accept visits from tourists and share their traditional culture.
