...Garinsky district is considered the most roadless in the Sverdlovsk region. 42 settlements were lost in the forests and swamps. Most of them appeared in the 30-50 years of the last century, as camp settlements during the "GULAG". Local residents are mostly descendants of repressed, including dispossessed peasants, Russian Germans.
20 kilometers from the Village of Gary, the path is blocked by a river. The pontoon bridge across the Sosva began to be built only in 2012. For decades, motorists have been moving to the other side by ferry or on ice.
The village of Zykova is cut off from civilization by impenetrable forests and swamps. A local tractor driver, Viktor Zykov, agrees to conduct an excursion for us - he begins about the sore point. In the center of the settlement there is a museum of rusty equipment.
This recreation center-once was the heart of the village - artists from all over the district performed on the stage. They came from Krasnoturinsk and even Yekaterinburg. Movies were being played on the projector. Most of all, the villagers loved Indian melodramas. Now swallows live in the building........ "Channel Four" is the first non-state television company in Yekaterinburg, it has been on the air since April 1991.
Since October 2020, it has been broadcasting on the "22nd button" - a mandatory public municipal channel.
