Coming up... the story of AC/DC’s TNT, the track that established the identity of one of the GREATEST BANDS EVER. THIS SONG WAS DESIGNED TO KICK YOUR BUTT… It took AC/DC to the stadiums and made ‘em the kings of hard rock. But not before lead singer Bon Scott had to change some of the risqué lyrics to get it played… but at the time it didn’t matter TNT didn’t chart then.. but decades later it has over a billions streams. TNT is driven by a SOUND Effect that came from Bon Scott that was a happy accident… It was his reaction to the power going out, where he screamed oy! and the band turned it into a chant...With a devastating dual guitar attack between brothers Angus and Malcolm young and Bon’s voice that sounds like the engine of a Ferrari Get ready to “Run for your life... cause the man is back in town… NEXT on Professor of Rock.

“TNT”... the song that obliterated AC/DC’s feckless glam image forever….And when the dust of the transition settled... the identity of one of the most formidable bands of the Rock Era was firmly entrenched:

In September, 1974, Malcolm & Angus Young promoted Bon Scott, a roadie & chauffeur for the band they founded in ’73, to be the frontman for AC/DC.It marked the beginning of AC/DC’s hard-driving blues rock- with provocative lyrics, in your face vocals, pounding rhythm, and a double-guitar attack designed to.. Knock you out “TNT” would be one of the first AC/DC songs that featured Bon Scott unleashing his bluster on lead vocals.

I mean imagine it. One day you’re the Chauffer for the band and the next day you’re the lead singer. But No once can deny the crack your skull vocals power of one Bon Scott. He had only been officially with the band for a couple of months, but he IMMEDIATELY took charge. Bon pushed his bandmates to advance their songwriting- to create rock anthems that would shake Stadiums...and the band wisely followed. There was a transformation of the musicianship & showmanship of AC/DC that paralleled the recording of “TNT”- the song and the album.

All of a sudden, Angus and Malcolm Young came out of their shell, and turned into ferocious players. Their liberation was especially noticed by big brother George Young, who at that time, produced the band’s music with his former Easybeats cohort, Harry Vanda.
