Let me start off by saying that I do NOT hate Tabitha. When Theo was killed, I literally cheered. Both times. ;) But I took no pleasure in Tabitha being killed. Even though Oswald is my favorite, I was hoping Tabitha would make it through the series. And no matter what any one says, Babitha is endgame. They were not "just friends."

When Oswald said to Babs, "This is not how I wanted things to go." I think he meant that while he planned to kill Tabitha, he never intended to kill her in front of Babs because he didn't believe she deserved to live with the pain like he did. Still doesn't make it ok and I kind of hope Babs or Selina gives Os the eye injury now. Try and enjoy and try not to hate too much please :)
