Richard Ion, Principal Bassoon of RPO, will be our soloist for Mozart's elegant and romantic Bassoon Concerto with the Orchestra on Tuesday 5 March, under the baton of Nil Venditti at Cadogan Hall.

The piece, from which the prominent second movement melody was later featured in The Marriage of Figaro, showcases the different characteristics of the instrument that are rarely put under the spotlight.
