Atlanta, Are you ready to save water and money? Did you know that household leaks waste nearly one trillion gallons of water nationwide each year. That's why, we urge you to find any leaks at your home or business in order to save money and water.

Here are places leaks may be hiding around your home or business:

• Toilets: Listen for running water and try the food coloring test. If you have a leak you can save money by replacing it with a low flow version.

• Showerheads: Turn them on and watch for drips or sprays. A quick fix with tape can save gallons.

• Faucets: Watch and listen for drips. Check your kitchen and bathrooms faucets and your outdoor spigots. While you’re in the kitchen, check your dishwasher too.

• Water heater: Check for signs of leakage beneath the tank—pooling water, rust, or any red flags.

• Irrigation system: Look out for broken sprinklers or misdirected nozzles. Consider an irrigation audit for efficiency.

DWM also provide water saving kits to our customers. You can receive one by going to the Customer Service windows at Atlanta City Hall or at DWM headquarters on 72 Marietta St Atlanta GA.
