Florida State vs. Syracuse: The Orange took two of three games from the #14 Seminoles to clinch their spot in the 2024 ACC Softball Championship. In the first game of the series, Angie Ramos pinch hit in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and hit a single to walk off a 4-3 win for 'Cuse. Pitcher Lindsey Hendrix pitched a complete game giving up two earned runs off of seven hits while striking out four. In the second game, the Syracuse comeback effort came up just short in a 3-2 loss. Hallie Wacaser, Kaley Mudge, and Jaysoni Beachum each had RBI singles in second inning to score FSU's three runs. Syracuse cut the lead to one in the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on second and one out, but Allison Royalty got the save for the Seminoles. In the rubber match, Syracuse scored eight runs in the second inning on their way to a 13-5 win in five innings. Laila Morales-Alves had a three-run home run in that second inning. Madelyn Lopez went 2-3 with a walk, two RBI, and three runs scored in that final game.
