"Basanta Sishir" portrays love as a beautiful rose with thorns. While on the one hand, love is beautiful and pure, it cannot exist without some measure of pain.  "Basanta Sishir" tells the story of two lovers whose passionate, ecstatic feelings of love co-exist with fear and an uncertain future. Cruel tests of destiny create a sense of loss and despair, but ultimately result in true, everlasting love that goes beyond physical pleasures and remains the same no matter the circumstances.
