A comprehensive classical and contemporary actor training that nurtures students through a life-changing journey. Students are challenged to achieve their maximum potential as actors and acquire skills for working in the full range of acting contexts including theatre, television, film and radio.

The course philosophy can be summed up by the words, ‘embodiment’, ‘imagination’ and ‘interaction’. The training starts by developing the body and voice as strong and effective communicators of thought, emotion and intention, and by opening up the imagination, so that the actor can create and sustain three-dimensional worlds inspired by the playwright’s text. These processes invariably take place in an interactive context so that the actor constantly learns to respond to outside stimuli – whether from people, objects or atmosphere – in an open and uncensored way. Underpinning all of this is an emphasis on craft and careful analysis of texts and characters.
