The ISRO has launched first flight of its new Small Satellite Launch Vehicle. The SSLV lifted off two satellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota. The rocket is just 34-metre tall and weighs 120 tonnes. The rocket carried 'Azaadisat' which has been built by 750 schoolgirls. The deployment of its payload was said to be a success, as per ISRO Chief S Somanath. However, after the launch the mission experienced “some data loss" at the terminal stage. The SSLV is India’s official foray into the commercial small satellite launch market. Watch this report to know more.
