Speaking at INK 2023: Futureverse, Sameer Shisodia highlights the alarming breach of six planetary boundaries, including climate change, biosphere integrity, freshwater use, and land system change. Even as the world’s attention is hyperfocused on clean mobility and energy transition, Sameer thoughtfully retraces the pattern of civilizations making trade-offs biased towards comfort and time and consistently getting it wrong. Every development decision, he suggests, should be made with the “Place Lens” in mind–what the land means to those who live on it. Join him in exploring the significance of regional awareness to develop meaningful, localized, and sustainable climate protection solutions.

About Sameer Shisodia:
Sameer Shisodia is the CEO of Rainmatter Foundation. A decade ago, he transitioned from the tech industry to food systems, climate, and biodiversity, experimenting with sustainable farming, farm collectives, and his personal passion—rejuvenating soil and forests. He previously served as the Ex-Co-Founder and chief Farming Officer of Beforest. Sameer also co-founded The Farming Collective and Linger Leisure. He strongly believes in natural farming as a major way to address ecological issues and promote sustainable living. Sameer is a graduate of the Birla Institute of Technology.
