We will feature one or two of our avian species each day!

Today we visit our carnivorous birds: the Eurasian Eagle Owl & Kookaburra!

Merlin, our eagle owl, resides in our Wilds of Asia section of the park. Eagle owls are said to be the largest species of owl on earth. They are easily identified by their bright orange eyes, size, and feather tufts on the head!

Barbie & Ken, the laughing Kookaburra, reside in our new Aussie Aviary. Kooks are native to Australia and part of the king fisher family - displaying the characteristic beak of that family!

Note: All of our animals are provided humanely euthanized, prepared prey items. This process takes place long before these items arrive at Animal Adventure for consumption.

Our prey animal eaters are the costliest to maintain at the park. A $10 contribution will cover the costs of prey items for these birds on a given day. Thank you!
