Rishi Sunak faces fresh chaos as two more Conservative ministers quit their posts, meaning the Prime Minister was forced to undertake a mini reshuffle.

James Heappey, minister of state for armed forces was replaced by Leo Docherty, and Robert Halfon, minister for education, was replaced by Luke Hall.

Jonathan Haslam, former director of communications at 10 Downing Street, told Jeremy Kyle and Nicola Thorp that these resignations suggested "quite a lot of people have given up".

Haslam thought that it was a shame that Heappey and Halfon were leaving, as he thinks they were very good MPs and ministers.

Nicola Thorp asked him: "Do you think people will feel economically better off by November?"

He replied without hesitation: "No!" and explained "it takes far too long for all of these things to feed through in time for people to feel any benefit, if any."
