An interview with Academy Award-winning sound designer, Johnnie Burn (Under the Skin, Poor Things) about his Oscar-nominated work on Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest. The film follows Auschwitz commandant, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig, as they strive to build the dream life next to the camp. Aside from sound designer, Johnnie was also the film’s supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer — working for years to carefully craft the film’s visceral and unique soundscape.
