“I used to define my self worth based upon my size and how small I could make myself. With a history of disordered eating, I put my body through a beating. I looked in the mirror constantly without ever looking at who I was, but only at my appearance. It took away from feeling happy, it took away from social aspects of my life, it took away from my family, and it took away from me and who I wanted to become.

Understanding how to love who I am and the body I am creating is still a work in progress. This is not just a physical issue, but a mental one that takes years to work on, but with the right people surrounded by you - there’s a way out.
