This nest has had a lot of drama for the geese! Mom Goose laid her first egg and it accidentally got kicked of the side of the nest. She laid 4 more eggs and then a female intruder came to her nest and there was a huge fight between Mom trying to evict this intruder. This intruder laid an egg during the fight! So her egg was added to the nest and Mom Goose kicked her out of the nest. One of Mom's four eggs, got lost off the nest so she was left with three eggs from her and one egg from the intruder.

The problem with this 4th egg, it was laid much later than her eggs and therefore when the eggs would hatch and the gosling jump, that 4th egg would end up being left on the nest.

All three goslings hatched and Mom Goose left the nest and one gosling ran after her at 02:28 timestamp and jumped. This gosling landed safely on the ground and was seen with Mom and Dad. The parents called for the other two goslings to jump, but for some reason, they did not heed the call and remained on the nest.

RRP decided to turn off the cam at this time. They did put a statement out to discuss the situation: " This afternoon the goose at N2B jumped, but only one of her goslings followed her to the ground. As of 6PM, neither her nor her mate were engaged in calling the remaining goslings down and they had settled back in the nest. We've sent one of our staff members over to observe the scene. Depending on the situation, he might try calling the goslings down himself or observing the adults to see whether they begin calling. The goslings might also decide to jump themselves, especially as the evening wears on.
We don't have a way to get into the nest right now, since it would be dark long before any of our climbers could get to the nest. We'll keep everyone posted and respond to the situation as it evolves." Update: at 7:20 the goslings jumped! We briefly saw one of the parents in the stream beneath NB2 with one gosling, probably the first jumper trailing behind her. We were able to find one of the goslings and were able to reunite it with its parents - fingers crossed!"

As soon as I hear any additional information, I will share it. Thank you for watching!
