Sky Rompiendo - Medellín To Miami (Vevo Interview)

It started in Medellín. The producer behind global smashes such as “I Like It” and “Mi Gente” was teen beat-maker cutting tracks at home and getting yelled at by his dad for ditching his studies. Alejandro Ramírez aka Sky Rompiendo el Bajo has always had big ears, and as he became more serious about music, he connected with singer J Balvin and helped sculpt the sound of the now-superstar’s first album, ‘La Familia.’ The creativity has steadily poured out of the 26-year-old GRAMMY winner from that point on. Cut to 2019 and the Colombian native helms a studio in Miami where he has endess ways of pointing reggaeton towards the future. Artists often tout Sky as being as crucial to their sound as they are, and from Karol G to Sebastián Yatra to Ozuna, he’s worked with some of the most adventurous Latin artists of the era. We visited him in the studio and cruised around Miami for a night, profiling his story and getting a bead on how his creativity works.
