Grant Ward is one of the most complicated characters in the show. We saw him as a hero, a protector for his team, before he reveals himself as a Hydra double agent. He grapples with his sense of identity - is he a product of Garrett, a toxic father figure, or of his family, abused by his parents and older brother? This is the evolution of Grant Ward through seasons 1 to 3 of Agents of SHIELD, and his idea of redemption in the Framework.
