The Priyanka Chopra -Nick Jonas wedding has definitely been the East-Meets-west wedding of the year. Let’s take a look at some interesting facts from this wedding that give us couple goals. First up, was the romantic engagement. Apparently, Jonas had an entire Tiffany’s outlet shut down to pick the perfect ring. Then he whisked off his bride to be to Crete to bring in her birthday where he also popped the question. Nick Jonas truly surprised us all by getting emotional on seeing his beautiful bride. This was a truly touching moment during the day’s festivities. Next, in breaking with normal tradition, both bride and groom were walked down the aisle by their mothers. This was a beautiful tribute to Priyanka’s father Dr Ashok Chopra who sadly passed away from cancer in 2013.

Bride Priyanka blew everyone away in her stunning white wedding gown by Ralph Lauren embroidered with pearlescent sequins and a hand-embroidered coat. Her Hindu wedding attire was a red lehenga designed by Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi. Priyanka Chopra’s veil deserves a special mention. The tulle veil was 75-feet long and reportedly the longest bridal veil in the world and it broke the internet apart from past records. The bridesmaids’ outfits too were impressive pink satin gowns by designer Ralph Lauren. Each bridesmaid carried a lovely bouquet of white flowers as they walked by bride Priyanka’s side. Nick Jonas too looked dapper in his double-breasted Ralph Lauren suit that had two words sewn under the lapel: ‘my jaan’ which translate as ‘my life’ in Urdu. Truly touching indeed.

The wedding venue Umaid Bhawan palace was as grand as the entire celebration. This 1929 palace is managed by the Taj group of hotels and is a sprawling structure with dining halls, a ball room, a throne room, suites, and a huge lawn. The lawn itself was the venue for the wedding and had wonderful decorations taken care of by expert Indian designer duo: Sandeep Khosla and Abu Jani. Finally, the day was marked by all the beautiful kisses shared by the newlyweds. The most memorable kiss was undoubtedly the one Nick gave Priyanka as they walked down the aisle as man and wife for the first time after taking their vows.
