Niko Omilana and Max Fosh are two prominent YouTubers who stood to be Mayor of London in the 2021 election. In a field of 20 candidates they used their campaigns to create a series of YouTube videos, which they monetised using adverts.

BBC London’s Jamie Moreland explores whether the internet influencers were simply pursuing clicks or if they were genuinely trying to shake up mainstream politics.
