Five nests have been built on the Decorah territory. Nest N1 sat empty in 2021 and 2022. New Decorah Eagles HM and HD adopted nest N1 and successfully raised a chick in 2023. They built a new nest in 2024, so a pair of Canada geese adopted nest N1. Today, this pair of geese came to the Eagle's nest again. Father goose stood guard as the mother goose dug up an egg. She kept rolling the egg, and then she laid another egg and buried both eggs.
